Our story begins with a boy and a girl who put faith in their feelings. God was calling them to meet – serendipity found them on a social network Nov 2013

 Jessie & Joey both grew up in the small town of Hope Mills, NC .. They crossed paths at every stage of their lives, both attending the same elementary, middle and high school without knowing each other. In high school as he was leaving she was just beginning....little did they know what God had in store....

A conversation on late Monday night about a football game turned into texting. We talked from dawn until dusk every single day. Eventually after 3 weeks of that we "officially" met. Joey picked me up from my apartment to take me out on our first date.. as soon as he walked in the door he ran straight to my bathroom without saying two words to me (I can only imagine how nervous he was, as I was standing there shaking, sweating, and praying to God that this was going to be one of my very last "first dates") when Joey walked out of the bathroom I was standing in the kitchen with my hand out trying to introduce myself.... well, what does he do? He walks right up to me, puts both hands on my face and pulls me in for a kiss. (I almost fainted)  I knew that very moment I was in love with Joseph. It was honestly love at first sight. I mean who kisses a complete stranger to introducing themselves?  After that kiss, my nervousness went away, I stopped sweating, and I pulled myself together... Walking out the door heading to Micasita, I felt like I was hanging out with a life long best friend. And little did I know I was.      Months passed, and we grew closer... I drove to Wilmington every Friday afternoon until Sunday night. Weeks were extremely long, and our weekends were too short. In June 2014 I decided it was finally time to do something I was always afraid of, and that is, to follow my heart. I packed up, quit my job and moved to Wilmington NC.  It was honestly the hardest most rewarding decision I have ever made. The love between us is indescribable....
