Bride

We had sort of always talked about "later on when we're married" but hadn't really talked about when that would actually be. Well little did I know, things were already in the works! We had been planning Jeremiah's 25th Birthday trip to California (where he was born but had yet to return to in his adult life). Since it was a big birthday trip and obviously special for his mom/family as well we'd planned for his mom to meet us there, but then she told me she'd planned to surprise Jeremiah with his Grandparents and some other family meeting us there also!  The day before his birthday we made our way to The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardents in San Marino to begin our plans for our first day in California. Well we get to the front to meet his mom and then go to the check in area and suprise, his family is there! Well, I remember now thinking he was sort of underwhelmed with suprise lol. At the time though,  I just chopped it up to him being stressed still from worrying that we were going to get a flat tire, as we had run over a glass bottle backing out of our parking spot that morning. And the fact that the beginning of the trip, the day before, had consisted of us missing our initial flight and spending the day making alternate flight plans to get everything worked out...and him being super stressed all the while lol. I'm ususally the calm one in these situations though so it wasn't out of the norm for him to be stressed, but I had no clue it was REALLY because he was worried about things not going according to plan knowing he was going to ask me to marry him the next day! So anyway, we all begin our sightseeing of the stunning Botanical Gardens and then we get to an area that had a bridge and waterfall and he said he wanted to take a picture so he could have a new Facebook profile picture, since I always steal the good ones lol. So I handed his mom my camera and we walked over to the bridge and I turned to do our usual pose, putting my hand on his chest. Well in the process, he grabs both my hands and begins to say "You know I've always told you I couldn't imagine my life withouth you.." and other sweet things we can't even remember (adrenaline sure is odd that way haha) and then proceeds to say "I have an important question to ask you..what are you doing with the rest of your life?" and then gets down on one knee and pulls a ring box out of his pocket (of which looking back I realize now why he posed with one hand in his pocket for other pictures beforehand lol) and asks me if I will marry him and be his wife. Of course at this point I'm bawling like a baby and say YES!!!
