Bride

Kris mentioned in September that we were probably due for a weekend away, and thinking that was a great idea we got to work trying to decide where and when to go. It worked out that the weekend of October 11, 2012 was the earliest we could get away! Thankfully Evan was able to watch our dogs for us and off we went to Banff to spend the day wandering around and had a fantastic lunch! Later we went to Storm Mountain Lodge just past Banff. We got there and there was this cute lodge and the lady let us know that we were in Cabin #12. Everyone staying there has their own little log cabin, with a wood burning fireplace! It was so cute and had just snowed and the view of the mountains was gorgeous!

Kris had made a reservation in the lodge for us for dinner, a fancy three course meal with wine pairings! Back in our cabin Kris made a fire while I was reading about the history of the lodge and cabins, he kept trying to turn the lights out but I wasn't done reading yet :) Finally once finished he turned out the lights, and by fire light, got down on one knee and opened a box that lit up and the most beautiful ring I had ever seen, it was glowing! After that I know my eyes were watering, my arms were flapping  . . . .

Finally she let me turn out the lights, I was on one knee and opened the box and she lost it! I was talking and asking her to marry me and she just kept flapping her arms and crying!  She still didn't say yes, or anything for that matter! Finally once she calmed down, I asked her if she was going to say yes and she did!
