Bride

This is one Happy Bride-to-be! It is very important to me to have God and Jesus at the center of my life and more importantly that my future husband does also. A couple who Prays together stays together!

Thank You Heavenly Father for this beautiful Man! God knows Mikey is going to be my Proverbs 31 husband (in progress lol) :D

This was what I had told God I needed in a man after I had read this book a few years ago and it really resonated with me. I guess because God was speaking to my heart that that is what He wants for me.

The book excerpt defines a Proverbs 31 husband as:

An intimate relationship with and a personal knowledge of God.

Wisdom

Head of the house as priest and leader.

Bears consequences for his mistakes, his spirit is not bowed or crushed by adversity
Takes responsibility and finds a solution, allowing perseverance to finish it's work in him so he "may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:4)

Seeks God's face and secures our future by obedience to his instructions and Word.

Is a praying man.

Purpose and passion for doing God's will.

Responsible for my care, protection and provision, does not wait for me to proclaim my needs, but is drawn to me because he sees a need that he can fill. (Oh my Goodness, Mike is so in tune with this trait! Thank You Jesus!)

The glory of God will be manifolded in our home and the lives of his family.

The proverbs 31 husband embodies the nature of Christ.

All these attributes will come with time and spending time with the Lord. I am also committed to becoming a better person and embody the traits God wants in me to be a loving, supporting Wife to my Husband and as a Human Being, with both roles doing God's work. <3

It may take a lifetime or two lol :D but His Word says, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hat begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" Philippians 1:6.

Pay attention to what you learn about each other during trials in your relationship before marriage. Chances are, those revelations will hold true after you say your wedding vows as well.
